You phrased it correctly when you use the word "prefer". One of the beauties of this sport is that there is gear to fit just about anyone's preferences. That is one of the reasons it is so hard to give anyone excellent advise on gear selection. It is also one of the confusing factors for the new diver trying to figure out what to buy.
To the OP's question: Yes, "deluxe harness" rigs are available from at least DiveRite and Zeagle. Functionally they are very much like a TransPac with a BP. Whether you will, or will not, like them is really a matter of personal preference.
