The dive shop is Dive Aventuras in the Omni Hotel in Puerto Aventuras, a 5 minute ride away and they pick you up at the Spa Palace for no charge. Their website is
Dive Aventuras Mexico scuba diving vacation packages Puerto Aventuras. If you call them directly and make your own dive arrangements, you'll save money over what the Spa Palace charges you to dive with the same place.
The boat rides are only 5 to 10 minutes to the reefs. The reefs are relatively flat like Punta Tunich over at Cozumel, except there is very little current. The cenote diving is exceptional out of Puerto Aventuras. We thought the cenotes were the true adventure of our last trip there.
