Wouldn't it be convenient to be able to adjust bolt snap location while all suited up? Imagine being in the water, on the surface or diving, and relocating a bolt snap to a better location. Quick attachment/detachment while in situ I think is the virtue of the device. Whether they actually provide a secure attachment is the real question...
