I can't argue with some of the previous comments from more experienced divers. Having said that, I use one on a bolt snap to attach my primary to my BC while snorkling out to a site, and to keep the primary off the seat on a dive boat. Including the bolt snap, the fit is extremely tight on the hose, and there is no way it is going to get knocked off that I can see. The small elastic cord eventually breaking is another issue, but that has not happened to me yet - in short, I like them for what I use them for in a recreational dive profile. - Chris
