We'll be flying on Spirit Airlines, and returning home from Grand Cayman to Reagan Int'l, connection in Fort Lauderdale.
We flew Spirit on our last Cayman trip, and it was a breeze. If memory serves, after we landed at FLL, we had to retrieve our checked luggage, clear Customs, and drop our bags back off at the Spirit counter.
I
think that Spirit had a designated area where international travellers with connecting flights could drop off their luggage without waiting in line.
Does that sound accurate?
My memory is kind of foggy, as that trip was a few years ago. If any recent fellow travellers, who flew Spirit through FLL can offer any advice, or tips, (other than to avoid flying Spirit

), I'd sincerely appreciate it.
Thanks!
