buddhasummer, do you trust the manner in which they hold bolt snaps? Do they feel secure? Do you think the jostling that all dive equipment receives could potentially dislodge them?

How often (if ever) do your bolt snaps need to come off? Do you really want to risk a $4-12 bolt snap with something that could potentially get knocked off, just to save yourself a couple minutes of knot tying?
CompuDude, are you certain of the vulnerability of these clips to being knocked off? If so, I'll certainly steer clear of them. My interest in them is principally in regard to how quickly and easily they can be attached, allowing for rapid adjustments in location, as well as allowing for a limited number of bolt snaps to be shared among multiple regulator sets. Tying cave knots isn't a problem. I just thought that rapid attaching/detaching in the field, rather than cutting, tying, and melting knots, would be pretty cool.
I've never wanted to move a bolt snap. They tend to attach at the end points, and end points don't really move. I can't conceive of any reason why I would ever want or need to move a bolt snap along a hose, frankly.

I have no idea how well these hold, but looking at photos, they don't seem all that secure. And if they are secure, they're still not AS secure as cave line.

I'm all into gadgets and a better mousetrap. But seriously, I just don't see these as a better mousetrap, because the advantage they offer isn't even remotely important to me, and I have tons of cave line which is free and setting a few feet away from me. And bolt snaps are expensive!

If you want to try them, however, go for it. It's not like they cost a fortune, and it's unlikely they would cause serious injury in a recreational context if you lost a connector because of them. You certainly don't need our permission or blessing. So I hope you enjoy them and feel they were worth the money!

I'll pass, though. Even if someone handed me a pair for free, in which case I'd pass them on or toss them in the save-a-dive kit.
