Depending on how much memory you have, and the compatibility of the usb interface of the computer, you should not have any issues installing the software and drivers on the partition. I do not yet have a dive computer with a pc interface, so i cannot test this. However, i am purchasing a new one within the next month and will keep you posted as to how the software works with the mac.
(Once you go MAC, you never go back.)
BTW you can download a trial of Parallels from Run Windows on Mac OS X - with no rebooting!
It is a fully working copy you can fully test for about 20 days before deciding to buy it for 79.99. (Its worth it if you ask me).
Hope that helps you!

When I first got my macbook, I was looking for a reason to intall windows on it, just because it was cool. To be honest, I haven't found a real reason for me to install it now. I love OSX and I really don't want to use windows anymore. Not even to synch my dive computer. I will wait for something like MacDiveLog and if it never comes, then I'll just keep logging them manually.
Thanks for the info on parallels though. I actually have a copy at work that I used to eye up, but lost interest in it. I know it's really nice if you're a developer and you're writing software for "good ole windows" For me, just synching my dive computer isn't worth the hard drive space on my mac to justify installing windows.
