Actually, the color will be the viewable depth. The spectrum of natural light is difused by the water. If you have a back lit screen at 1000', you will still be able to see all the colors of the spectrum, except those that are filtered out in the 3' of water between you and the screen.
But still, $8,000 for a computer...I'll pass.
