Shark diving in South Afria
I learnt to dive in SA - the diving is great - very different to most other places I have dived.
Never did any Great White dives - cage did not do anything for me, but we did dive with 'Ragged Tooth" sharks occasionally and they were fascinating to dive with.
We did not dive with any special gear but made sure to avoid feeding times. There were often as many as 6 mature sharks from 6ft and up.
They were always very curious and would approach us as we stood with our backs to the rocks behind us. Their eyes did not have smooth movements as they circled repeatedly no more than 4 ft away from us.
Area was just south of the city Durban - Google "Raggies Cove" and you should find more info. Here are 2 to start with.

Great area to dive, warm water, fairly strong currents, turtles, great surges etc.
