Too late now, but...
My bf has really pale skin on his legs due to the fact that he never wears shorts. He is one of those guys that doesnt listen cause he already knows it all - no since in telling him to use sunscreen...Needless to say a couple of years ago he got burnt really bad out on a jetski. We dosed him with Aleve and followed up with Bactine for the surface pain. It's cheaper than solarcaine and works just as well. The Aleve works great (if you can take it) bec. of its anti inflammatory qualities. When you get sunburnt you get an inflammatory reaction below the surface. The Aleve controls the pain by reducing the swelling. Plus the bactine has an affect against infection as well. He was able to put jeans back on within an hour of taking the Aleve.
