Don't know anything about Scuba Club Cozumel....
The question, What do we do who have non-diving spouses? Tiptoe very easy and try not to upset the balance.
Two years ago, we went to Mexico and stayed at an AI resort (Grand Sirenis on the RM side). It was my wife, son, older mother, and me (all non-divers, but me). It worked out very good. There was a dive shop on the beach that went out every morning. I would get up and meet the boat at 9:00 a.m., get a few dives in and be back by noon. The rest of the day and evening I spent with the family - hanging out on the beach, taking day trips to some of the sites, etc.
Then last year, my brother and sister-in-law (who are my typical dive buddies) came along on the trip. Same resort. This added a new variable. They were there to dive so we added more diving and even a trip over to Coz. This kinda upset the balance. We all had a great time, but I found myself having to work very hard to get the diving in I wanted to do and also spend time with the family. Wife was very understanding, but there were a couple times she felt I wasn't spending enough time with her.
Like I said in a joking way, but it is very true - pay close attention to the "balance thing". Understand that although you might be in diving paradise, this isn't important to your wife. So, don't overdo it.
Just my 2 cents,
Snagel
