I am a new diver & went to a dry suit almost immediately after getting my ow cert. I dive the TLS 350 by DUI & love it. In cold water I can pile on a warmer undergarment or layer up, in warmer water maybe just a bathing suit & t shirt under it. I like that flexibility with the laminated suits. Also check out the zip seals, it's important! I can change my own seals if I rip one & I carry an extra set just in case... Diving in NJ it's almost a requirement to dive dry due to the lower temps at depth, so my instructor highly recommended I go dry as soon as I could afford it...
