Spend some time researching drysuits in your price range...

Bare Nex-Gen Pro Dry Suit Review?
Uh. I have a Bare Nex-Gen + T100 undergarment. I like my drysuit. I've put 160+ dives on it over the last 2 years. It's been a very reliable suit. I've only changed out my neck seal once so far. The Si-Tech exhaust valve failed, but Si-Tech provided great customer service and replaced it promptly. Funnily enough, I contacted Bare Customer Service initially and was offered a $100+ replacement exhaust valve.

If I were you, based on the value per dollar, I would go with the Whites Fusion suit. For some crazy reason, the Nex-Gen price went up to about $950 recently. The Whites Fusion is still around $1200. For that difference, I would pay to get the Fusion. It's worth it for the unparalleled flexibility/comfort.

A drysuit is definitely a substantial investment in your scuba hobby. Think long and hard before you make the jump. Do your research on the various suits in your price range. Rent/demo them if you have the chance. Decide whether you want a neoprene drysuit or membrane shell suit. Know that you can use long underwear as an insulating layer underneath a shell suit, but in the end you'll probably want to buy a specialized drysuit undergarment ($200 - $350). Ask your dive buddies what undergarment they recommend for your local waters.

Good luck!
