If I bring most of my gear (I don't have a BC or regs) I'll need to rent them for $16 and pay $30 r/t for my gear on the plane. So in the end, I can wear most of my own stuff and pay $46 or rent everything and pay $34. Just wondering due to size of room on ship and stuff like that. Any info on previous experiences would be greatly appreciated.

It's not that much difference dollarwise so I wouldn't let that decide. Curious why 30$ though, is that for a 2nd checked bag? Scuba gear doesn't have to be it's own separate bag or anything. We can pack
all our gear and clothes for a trip between our personal item, carryon, and 1 checked bag. Since it's not a diving vacation you'll probably need more clothes, but you also don't have the BC and reg which are a couple of the bulkier/heavier items. So with a little care you might not even need to haul another bag.
