I did Royal Caribbean to Key West, Cozumel, and Grand Cayman. Both my daughter and I had dive knives in our gear. Her's was confiscated and held by ship security. She could check it out at every stop in order to dive but then she had to turn it back in each time. It was a hassel. I also had a knife but they did not take it.
The difference between the two knives was that mine was folding "pocket knife" type consturction and her's was a fixed blade sheath knife type construction. The blades were essentially the same length.
That was my first and only cruise. It's not my cup of tea. Give me a liveaboard every time, or a dive resort if no liveaboard services that area.
