I have the Brigade as well, it's an awesome BC! 100 dives on mine and it is barely showing any wear at all.
My dive gear (no weights, regulator + computer in carryon) + a week's worth of clothes, all shoved inside a fairly heavy rolling duffel bag weighs 46 pounds total.
No biggie.
