Table Rock Lake dock repair!!

Got a call from one of my dive buddies on Friday evening.
He has a lakehouse on Table rock & one of the cables holding the boat dock in place had snapped & needed replaced.
We got up Saturday & headed to the lake to fix it.
This was my first ever dive that had a purpose other than just for fun.
We hit the water around 12:30pm & got very lucky we dropped right onto broke half of the old cable leading down to the piece of concrete we needed to reattach the new cable too. It was fun to take some tools down & do some underwater repairs.
Vis was crap about 3 ft & if you touched the bottom it silted up bad and became a total blackout. First dive was to 34 ft water temps 56 degrees.
2nd dive just for fun went to 42 ft & water temps were still 56 degrees & you could not see a ft in front of you even with a light.
Air temps were about 60 degrees.
All in all a good time was had even with no vis.
we are hoping the other 3 cables hold up til spring so we can change them in warmer conditions & maybe better vis, can't wait to do it again.
