Well, finishing up our second month of having this board - it has been a wonderful experience. We are getting such a great bunch of folks out here, and it keep growing on a daily basis. There were a lot of great posts this month, and luckily, the little program we use to narrow the field brought us down to a handful of great posts to examine that were all pretty close.
In the end... the post we are awarding the prize to, honestly, was not earth shattering. It was a simple post... an easy newbie question. The reason in the end this thread won, was probably due as much to the responses as the initial post.
It was this simple post by Foo2:
Newbie BC Cleaning Question
A simple post about a used BC they got, and they were asking for advice on how to clean it. While it didn't start until half way through the month, it generated 4 pages or responses and nearly 400 views! One of the top traffic threads of the month (when you leave out the games and such.)
But again what was so wonderful about it was no one posted, "You don't want a BC. Throw it away and get a BP/w!" And not a single, "You shouldn't use old used equipment - this is life support!"
Instead... there were a bunch of thoughtful suggestions. Good ideas, and a sharing of knowledge and experience. It was an exemplary post of what a board should be.
It seems anywhere the Foo's go on the board, they spread a nice feeling of happiness and love of this sport. Always welcoming the newcomers, trying to answer questions when they can, and not being afraid to ask questions when they seek information. And so it is with a sincere thanks and pride that we award this months prize to one of the most thoughtful members of our community... Foo2.
