The instructors I spoke to saw people losing weight pouches quite a bit. Sometimes that's a huge problem, sometimes it isn't. I'd rather not take the chance... would you?
Plain velcro is not a good way to hold
lead in a pocket, at least not without some other means of reinforcing the hold.
