My opinion:
I am assuming you are talking about getting an air integrated wrist computer. If so, then on an UNEVENTFUL dive, your computer is really all you need. HOWEVER....what happens if your computer dies mid-dive? (doesn't happen often, but it does happen).
For this reason, I would kit up with an SPG (pressure gauge) even if my computer was air integrated, so I could keep an eye on my tank pressure while ending the dive and starting my ascent, if my computer died.
Depth gauge.....also good for redundancy....but maybe not as important, as long as you can do a safe, slow ascent without using a computer or depth gauge to keep an eye on your rate. Rely on your buddy to keep an eye on you.
If your compass is your computer.....redundancy not needed.....rely on your buddy for this.
Summary: kit up with an SPG for redundancy. Other stuff not needed.
