bear with me on this one....

soo recently ive been reading a few scuba diving books...one of which is called the last dive.... and i had this idea that (because im new to scuba) might sound really stupid...but here goes nothing....

after reading the book that was prodominantly about technical divers i realized that all teh scenarios (in the book) could have been prevented if they could have finished thier decompression....but since they were out of air they had to surface....and communication seems to be key when it comes to solving situations....

my idea is simple if you could communicate with the boat and let them know that you need someone to bring down air...so why not have a small float that can be filled off a small CO2 cartrige in you pocket that you could pull out, fill up and let shoot up to the top... than someone would know that you need more air to finish your decompression and could bring it to you....

i know the idea needs some refinement...but does anyone else think that its a good idea?
