If your dive count is right then yes as you gain experience you will learn to dump and trust that it's working. Most drysuit exhaust valves are on the upper part of the arm not far from the shoulder, but I think I've never had issues seeing it on either the DUI's I've dove or the Viking suits. There could be some oddball suits out there where it is too high.
To move one would depend on the suit, you've essentially got a large hole to plug and then you cut another one. How you do it depends on the suit. Very similar to adding a P valve.
Looking at your profile I see you're diving the Andy's neoprene drysuit, I think I'd leave it be myself.
