Hi all! I made it back home EARLY Tuesday morning (1 AM) Anyway for those of you that didn't know... I went on a Carnival cruise with my WHOLE family on Thursday. My grandparents were celebrating their 50'th anniversary and instead of a one night party...we chose a 5 day one. The festivities actually started out on Wed night at my aunts house in New Orleans. Let's just say there was plenty of glass in the trash the next morning and some interesting photos of me on a swing, champagne in my hand, and a child sized bicycle helmet on my head. ;-)I don't think I couldexplain that scenario ifI tried. We left the next day on theCarnival Fantasy. *Side Note* This was my 3rd Carnival cruiseand theFantasy was the best shipwe have been on so far. The crew was fantastic and the food was oh so tasty! I had a wonderful plate of mahi mahi thatmelted in my mouth! Friday was a "fun day at sea". Saturday was my favorite day...we arrived in Cozumel. Wewent diving with Blue XT Sea, Christy is the owner. She is a Texan who relocated to Cozumel and started adive op. You can find heron the Carribeanforums on Scuba Board. OurDM's name was Arturo who is a marine biologist and has gotten to dive all over the world. He was awesome. Our boat captin's name was Mago and he was socool! He does great magictricks! When we were on our surface interval we enjoyed sandwiches and fruit that theyprovided for us and were entertained by Mago. It was a real nice touch! Our first dive wasat Palancar Gardens. That was amazing! It was absolutely beautiful, and I got to see a sea turtle! The current was VERY mild and was a fabulous first blue water dive. Our second dive was at Tormentos. This time we had amoderate current and I was fighting my mask the WHOLE TIME! There wasn't quite as much to see there and I'm kind of glad since I didn't get to see anything anywaydue to clearing my mask the whole dive. ugh! Although, we sawa huge snapper! I don't think I have ever seen a fish that big that wasn't on T.V.!After we were done diving we wen't and hung out at a little Mexican bar downtown andenjoyed $1 beers and had a plate of fajitas. We found our wayback to the ship and had a great evening. Sunday was another"fun day at sea". That day I won $100 at bingo! That night... Iconsumed a whole bottle of chamagnethatwe received fromour travel agent...myself. For those of youwho don't know me...I'm 5'3 120lbs...and I don't drink often. Iwas having agreat time ina bar where they had a live band, and then mysteriously woke up the next morning in my room. From what I have been told, I got pretty trashed and my husband had to pretty much carry me to our room. Anyway, I'm sure that videos & pictures that my sister and aunts took will haunt me the rest of my life. The next day we made our way back home and picked up our boys yesterday. All in all it was a great trip we all had a wonderful time and I had a wonderful time diving for the first time in blue water! BTW, Joe & Larry I'll be seeing you soon about a new mask.
