What is a referal about? noticed that I have one on my profile.

A referral is somebody who joined the forum because they clicked a link that you sent them. At the top of your profile is a link similar to this:http://forum.scubatoys.com/index.php?referrerid=146
This is the link they clicked.

Not at this point. There was a contest several months back that you needed referrals for. It never hurts to ask your buddies to put your screen name down if they join. You never know what is up Larry & Joe's sleeves.
