Question Would I be allowed . . .

I am a member of a US non-profit organization named the 46th Specical Forces Company Assn. Every other year I and my husband travel to Thailand to work one week with our org to support the remote schools in Thailand. We then spend one week diving.

We are in the planning phase of putting together our next trip in Feb 2009. This trip we would like to arrange a drive trip to benefit the remote schools

Would we be allowed to poll the membership to get some suggestions on how best to structure the trip (i.e, live aboard vs. day trips, two weeks diving vs. one week diving and one week land excursion, etc.

Thank you for your consideration of our request.

Got my vote of approval. Where in Thailand? I was there for Cobra Gold once. Did medical care missions to 10 villages.

Hmmm. Wife's a doctor, who doesn't dive but loves helping people. I'm a volunteering type who wants to dive in exotic places. Hmmm. Maybe there's an opportunity here.

Go for it!

Thanks for your support. Unless I hear otherwise from the grand PooBah Watch for questions on threads that will help us put together a great trip.

What we do know: mid Feb 2009, two weeks, with diving. The price would include a set donation to the 46th Special Forces Remote School program in Thailand (www.46thSFCA.org). The 46thSFCA is a US non-profit org of retired SF (and family & friends ) who served in Thailand in the late 60's & early 70's. Now supporting the Remote Schools. 100% volunteers

The first poll question is:
What would your dream two week dive vacation to Thailand look like?

Thanks Again!

No problem from me... The travel area would seem like a spot... but for some reason, you'll probably get a lot more views and comments if you put it over in surface interval... and what da heck.. you're talking about doing something on your surface interval.. right?
