Miscellaneous yoke apparatus

I recently bought two tanks from ST, and am looking to get a yoke onto which I can attach various hoses for the following:

Air up car tires
Air up air mattresses
Blow off tool bench
Hook up a boat air horn (I like 'em loud!)
Equalize two scuba tanks

Here's my question: Can I use the item below to do all these? Or do I need a first stage to bring the pressure down to a more resonable level (40-50psi)? Any ideas or opinions are greatly appreciated.

Generally you use a first stage to bring the pressure down. Then you get a little accessory that snaps onto the quick release on your BC or drysuit hose, and use that to fill your toys, tires, etc.

The transfill hose you linked is used to transfer gas from a higher-pressure cylinder to a lower pressure cylinder.

Would this be a "must" or just a recomendation? I'd love to have an old first stage, one that I could just throw around in the back of the truck, but don't want to spend much (< $15)...

I'd say "must" but only because no one makes the hose fittings you are referring to. They're all built to attach to an LP hose, and not capable of handling 3000psi. Of course, neither are your tires or your average pool float.

You can get old, beat up 1st stages on eBay quite cheaply (considering you can get inexpensive new ones for ~$60). I wouldn't want to dive with them, but they should be fine as a dedicated fill accessory.

Personally, though I'd rather just spend $20 on a cheap automotive compressor from Pep Boys than lug around a scuba tank just to fill toys and tires.

Craigslist and scuba swap meets are another good option. Again, you want the oldest, cruddiest, most beat up thing you can find (that still holds/delivers air). Doesn't have to be safe to dive.

SCUBA.COM has inflator (car etc.) accessories that attach to the BC inflator hose.

Sure...you just want to make one of those air hammer things from No Country for Old Men. I'm staying away from you!

I suspect ST does, too, although it's not on the website anymore.

Yep, done made that purchase.

I am looking for a cheap-o that I can toss around and not worry about messing it up. Found a few on eBay... Had to modify my scuba query.
