Game Shears
Has anyone seen these Game Shears
Harbor Freight Tools - Quality Tools at the Lowest Prices Stainless and take apart. looks like they might be a solution to the shears vs knife issue. I think someone made a pair like this specifically for divinging but at $6...? |

Well, I did have my hands on it (I took it out of the package in the store) and I can tell you, it's sharp! But who knows how it'll hold up in salt water. I'm in Colorado and do mostly fresh water diving so I might not be a great tester for the rest of you. I'll get on and see how it stands up over the summer.
I'll need to find/make a sheath for it though. |

Get some 2" webbing, double it 2/3 of the way up to make a pocket, then sew on a bit of velcro and use the extra length for a top cover. It takes 20 minutes with a sewing machine and makes a good end product. Or just look at the picture of holsters for shears online and copy those. Very inexpensive and easy to make.
