i do
its pretty nifty, i went with the stainless spool and hi vis line.
only complaint is that the tube isnt quite 6ft long, its just a few inches under.
and after seeing oms and their 9 ft tube, mine feels inadequate, so i might have to buy a lifted truck or something, or just spring for the oms tube

overall its a great pocket and idea though and its staying on my zeagle ranger, i dont even know its there till i remember to practice deploying it (if i remember)

hee hee

So what is the lift capacity of this thing? Is it designed to attach to my Zeagle BP or does it need modification (jury rigging) since it is designed for the Zeagle BC's grommet system? These things I must know.

Have not used it Thor, but have looked at it a number of times and wondered if I should get one. But the above questions always come up. Maybe we need to get Scott over here to help us.

I have the model with the stainless finger reel and high vis line "bolted" to my Brigade. I like it, and it has never felt inadequate.

Sounds like Safety Sausage envy to me. I'm secure in the fact my 6' one is enough

Seriously, I have something similar attached to my BP.

Help has arrived...sorry I'm late!!!

The deluxe signal tube has about 22 lbs of lift.

For a BP/W, you can attach it using our stainless steel screw fasteners, or invent another way....I know how inventive some of you guys are!!!

To attach it to a BC, there are actually a few different ways to do it:

1. You can get the pouch with a zipper, which will go right on a Ranger LTD and its zip system.

2. You can use what we call a "quick link" which attaches around the top tank band, where it hooks through the bladder. The stainless steel link then is closed around the grommet in the standard pouch.

3. You can use zip ties or some other scuba guy DIY invention.

Hope this helps...

Scott

I would not recommend a stainless steel spool for shooting a bag.
You can release a delrin spool, intentionally or not, while the bag is going and it will spin in front of you until the bag hits the surface,
A stainless steel spool in the same scenario will be GONE.

Trust me on this one.

ITs a great smb, well made, great pouch, easy to attach in several different ways, go with the delrin for the above stated reasons.

I use a Halcyon closed circuit marker with a What Works, Works spool/reel in a dive rite lift bag sleeve. Love it. The WW reel makes it so easy to shoot the marker. The Halcyon markers are expensive, but if you can find one used, they are really nice. I also found out that the 4.5' marker, which is rated for 40lb of lift can lift 50lb of lead (I tried it today). Makes for a good lift bag as well as an SMB.

Having said that, I have a BP/W, so attaching the DR sleeve to a standard bc would require some DIY jury rigging.

Just a thought on another system.
