The UK NiCad battery pack is a joke. I'd go with 5000-6000 mah NiMH rechargable C cells from Thomas Distributing instead. Not necessarily cheaper, but it will last longer, and just as important, since they're normal C cells, they can be used in other devices if you ever move to a different light. The UK battery pack is only usable in certain UK lights.
