So, I got these EMT Shears...

because I heard they were a good alternative to carrying a knife, and for some reason I thought they would be smaller. The case is nice and it's got a D ring on one end, but I'm not sure where the best place for it is. Do you carry a pair? If so, where do you put them? I'm in danger of becoming a bit of a christmas tree with all the stuff hanging off me, and I'd like to at least attempt to be a little more streamlined so that the DIR folks don't give me dirty looks - I'm already treading on thin ice with my rattle... Help!

Get yourself a small piece of bungee, tie it around your harness some where and clip the shears to your d-ring and put the sheath under the bungee.

I wear mine like that on the left chest d-ring. My knife is in the front left of my waist buckle.

I tried that & my bc is too small for that.

Any ideas for some one with a small or extra small bc to try?

Put it in your bc pocket.

Take off the "clip" part and run the ring over your LP inflator hose and then bungee (zip tie) it to the LP hose. That might be possible.

Mine is in my pocket. I also carry a small BC knife just in case I can't reach my pocket...

In a pocket is best. Lots of ways to thread them onto a strap, if your BC has one, but that tends to just get in the way, IMO.

heh - my rattle is a piece of copper pipe with a ball bearing in it, and I almost never use it. Unless I see a Grunt or a Squirrel fish...

I carry mine in my dry suit pocket. When I dive wet, I carry it in my X-shorts pocket.

In the pocket, or zip-tied to the LP hose works great.
