Jibbitz for Dive Computer Identification

Hi folks -

I just posted this in the "Computers" forum, but I thought I'd post it here too for people interested in accessories!

I found a good way to distinguish your dive computer from other peoples while on a dive trip.. I don't know if this will work with every dive computer but it works great with my Sunnto.

The Sunnto has big buckle holes going all the way up the wrist strap.

If you take a Jibbit (the little decorations for Crocks shoes) and shave off the top and bottom of the back fastener, you can stick it through the holes of a Sunnto wrist strap. (Just remember to use a hole located near the computer itself, or you won't be able to buckle your strap).

Anyway.. it won't deter someone determined to steal a dive computer, but it does help identify your own in the fresh water bucket!

Enjoy,
Southern Seas

Kewl. I have a good friend who works for Crocs and he asked me if I wanted a sponge bob jibbitz. I guess I'll have to take him up on that and put it on my computer. Thanx for the idea.

Thanks for the idea. I've got colored zip-ties. I'll put a red and/or green one through the hole closest to the computer. After that, I'll see if I can locate a jibbitz or some other ID device. I'll do the same for my wrist-mounted compass.

Jibbitz: Decorations for Crocs Shoes

They even have dive flags and other dive charms.

And at $3 each, at least they won't break the bank!

I'm starting to get that horrible "Croc tan" ... you know, little circles on your feet. So I'm going to start filling in my holes with Jibbitz, starting with a dive flag and an Ohio State logo!

The sun doesn't shine enough here in Germany to get a "hole" tan LOL

I have this one on my dive computer: Jibbitz: Decorations for Crocs Shoes

There weren't many to choose from at the store where I picked it up -- but now I kind of think it kind of looks like an animated Nudibranch!

I'm outside a LOT, I think that's the only reason I've gotten them this year. Between amusement park trips (woo, love my season pass to King's Island!) and bike rides, my feet see a lot of sun.

I wonder if I can talk my husband into Jibbitz on his crocs. I bet it'd be cute.
