I am guessing that you didn't like the knife or something?

not that at all - I just could not justify the extra money since I already have a knife mounted on my inflator hose - I was mainly looking to add shears only, but the kit looked very nice and I considered buying it - in the end money considerations won out and only the shears were purchased

down the road I think I will buy the kit for my wife since it includes everything and right now she dives without shears or a knife - plus I think she would like having a slate

Yeah it looks like a good thing for the Wife. That is exactly who I am getting it for. She likes to talk so this will be as good as it gets.

Why does it needs to be vertical?
It is more what I am used to. It takes up less space on the strap (I sometimes slide a pocket on there).
Also, as I said those little elastic straps that hold the slate are not very robust. Most of my deep water exits require me to belly up on a rocking swim or dive platform like a performing sea mammal at Sea World. I know the kit would long be gone if I had mounted it.

Dunno mate... they're a bit more robust that you give them credit for; i've never had an issue with the kit at all and it's still in top nick

Anyway, scott says he's looking at it... so you might be lucky

Send a message via Yahoo to ScottZeagle
It does NOT include the pencil.

Larry must have added one for effect in that photo - or to show you where it would go.
