A small hand towel, if anything. Just enough to wipe the face.

I use a regular towel. I've used those types of towels in the past while hiking but never diving or swimming.

I'm just not that excited about towels, unless they're for my car. Only microfiber towels for the car. For diving, I never remember to bring one.

Now that is the most complicated eBay ad I've ever seen. They really want to sell you this towel. I agree with the dome, howeve. If I do remember, it's a random beach towel. Now if I could find one with a pinup on it.

I bring a plain beach towel. I've considered those microfibre (???) towels but I like my big one.

On the boat dives I've done, I haven't brought a towel... I like being wet during surface intervals to keep my cool in the heat, and by the time we get back to the dock after diving I'm dry. However, I just use a regular towel when diving springs.

I don't.
I believe they are an entanglement hazrd and they increase drag. Very difficult to stow.
I do however keep a bath towel in my dry bag back on the boat.
