Night Dive Rave (glow sticks)

What color Glow Stick works best for marking a diver when night diving? I know blue light travels farthest in water but does this apply to glow sticks at night?

I think the best would be (in order of preference): Blue, Green, Yellow (remember ROYGBIV, and the colors are absorbed from Red -> Violet).

And just for fun...

I have been using white ones. I think the White, Blue and Green show up the best.

I found a bunch on ebay but most are trying to scam you. .99 for 100 but $35 shipping. still not bad compared to the $1-2 you pay normally.

Nice picture. I have never used any glow sticks for night diving but I have used a white strobe attached to the tank valve.

Glowsticks are readily available at party supply stores. Even Home Depot carries them. If you want to buy them in bulk, however, online is the best bet. Rave supply stores tend to have pretty good prices, I used to get them at www.epartyunlimited.com back in my rave days.

I prefer Glo-Toob's for scuba diving, however. I'm not a big fan of disposable chemicals, "non-toxic" or not, especially encased in disposable plastic containers.
