heh... no doubt it works, but the commercial is chopped and cut to make it look better than it is...

there is one scene where he pours soda or something on a 6"x6" piece of carpet, and you can see the soda on the counter in a puddle bigger than the piece of carpet - the camera cuts away for a split second, by the time it goes back, he is just starting to put the shamwow on the carpet (hasn't touched it yet), and the puddle is gone and all that is on the carpet is a small circle of soda...

but yah, they work... been using the chamois that works the exact same way to dry cars for years...

That guy-Billy Mays (?) is everywhere,advertising everything, or so it seems. He is so annoying-in that loud Gilbert Godfried way- that I tend to NOT want to buy products that he advertises.
I may rethink the Shamwow, based on the input in this thread.

Shamwow isn't actually a new idea, it is itself an imitation. But yeah, works awesome for getting your scuba gear dry enough to pack.
