Aren't these the same as any regular chamois cloth?
I used to use those to dry off when I swam in school.

Shamwow is a bit thicker than swim towels. But you could probably buy the ones in the auto store for a lot less.

These microfiber cloths are great to dry off in. Don't spend more than you need to on shamwows, there are better deals to be had like:
