Don't be embarrassed, show it off, use it with pride. Just make sure you clean it and dry it when you're done. I have mine already to go with a finger spool alread in place. You can easily see it every time I dive.

How quick does growth grow on a fresh water sausage?

Not too quickly. It's not like you get out of the waer and "poof" it's nasty. A lot depends on the water itself and temps. If the water is a little grungy and it's hot outside, you have about 2 days before the funk starts to grow.

Clear water and cooler temps, about 10 days.

I think it would be interesting to hear what techniques the ladies use for drying off thier sausage.

I am sure that is what they talk about when they are all in the bathroom.

I have been known to use an old sock or t shirt if that is all that is laying around.

Sorry to burst your bubble, guys, but I've been using bathrooms for oh-about-50-years and never once heard conversation about sausage drying.

But good thread! I leave for Indonesia next Sat. I should check on my sausage situation ... don't want there to be any issues once I'm over there.
