What do you write on your slate?

Well as a student I used the TA's to write "my swim buddy's octo sucks water..." he kind of got it but unfortunately we were doing the buddy breathe and on the way up lets just say I inhaled a bunch of water ... cough cough ...

Other then that I would use it to write ... "I just got warm "

Before getting certified, my son would ask me again and again to tell him of my past dive adventures. One thing he found curious was my reports of schools of parrot fish all taking a dump at the same time. On our dives in the Keys a couple weeks ago, he witnessed this for himself. He tried signaling this to me, but I didn't understand, so he took my slate and wrote, "Parrot fish crapped".
