Folding dive knife

Does anyone use a folding dive knife? I have been looking online and have seen a few but to me they seem not as pratical or as easy to get to in a tight spot. It would take up less space but thats about the biggest plus I can see with one!

I carry a Spyderco H2 Salt.Very light and narrow. I attached a bolt snap and clip it in a pocket. Easy to open 1 handed if your gloves are not to heavy.

I carry a regular (small) dive knife, but for certain tropical dive destinations, I would definitely second the use of the Spyderco H1 Salt folding dive knives. Rust proof, easy to use and overall excellent knives.

I use a Gerber and a couple Buck knives. They tend to rust a little in SW but clean up easily.

Thus the H1 metal used in the SpyderCo knives. As rust-proof as Titanium, but takes a good edge, unlike Ti.

Use a plastic handled SS roping knife from Tractor Supply Company. Blade is serrated and curved like a talon. It was 5 bucks so I bought sevral . If it rusts from salt I throw it away. So far It has lasted two trips with no rust.

I have a titanium folding knife. One advantage is that paranoid security guards are less likely to confiscate it than a sheath type knife.

I figured very few people used them! Guess I was wrong agian. You could also use that Spyderco H1 Salt as a regular pocket knife or is it a little big?

I thought about getting a folding knife a while back, but then decided to get a remora instead. I think that if you need to use the knife in an emergency unfolding it just adds to the problem, it is much easier to pull the knife out of the sheat and cut away.

Not many people use them, but they have their uses.

As to size, it depends on what you feel is reasonable for a pocket knife.
