Even 150ft many times won't shoot to the surface for a diver that is in recreational limits.
Gotta second that, get at least 100'. I initially got the shorter lengths because the spools themselves were narrower, that's how I ended up with 3, I had to order longer ones. Some come almost overloaded with line, I had to cut ~20' off my 160' spool so the line would stay on when it got wet and expanded.

Thanks for the info guys!

I got the 100' with the SS clip & a 100' with the hi-viz line. They had a sale going on which is supposed to end today so I had to place my order.

I just ordered a 100' from Piranha. Hopefully it will be in tomorrow. Now I can practice shooting my SMB from depth....

I will let you know if I have any problems with the spool...

The sale was supposed to end last week but when I was just on their site, they still had the spools at the low price. I got mine last week and they even sent me an email to tell me that they had reduced the calculated shipping rate saving me a few bucks more. I put the SS clip on the hi-viz line as that will be my primary. I then put the brass clip on the basic white line spool for my wife. Got a few other things from them too. It all looks to be pretty good quality.

I paid for my SMB yesterday at ST but they were out of them and will call me when it comes in Thursday so I can run back over and pick it up. I also got a dive flag, proudly set up in my bedroom much to my wife's dismay, as I might try to dive at Lake Texoma this coming weekend...then again, maybe not seeing as it is a holiday weekend and all of the crazy people will be out. I'll try to test it all out within the next few days there or at CSSP.
