Not all zip ties are alike.. there may be a reason they are so cheap. I stick to the panduit brand myself. Hope they are good ones!

LOL ... bought the same bucket back when we started diving 6+ years ago. Still have a ton left ... have never had any problems with them breaking. Besides diving, they get used around the house and when traveling, on the luggage to identify it on the baggage carousel. The orange & green really stand out!

When you get hard-core you'll throw all the zip ties away and buy a spool of cave line.

Larry,

You'll know you're "hard-core" when you use caveline to tie you tank to your Ranger. Nothing to snag, unlike those SS cam-buckles.

It is amazing how fast you will go through those now that you have them. I can always find uses for them after I have a tub of them. I bought a big tub about 2 years ago and just bought another one abotu a month ago. The only thing left from the first tub was the tiny ones. Of course as my friends saw that I had them they came up with things to use them for to, so instead of going and buying their own they would come over and drink my beer and then ask if they can have some...

I can atest that they are not all the same we use these on our projects. They are rated by tinsel strength.

The ones we use are panduit and T&B which run about 11 cent each also some are UV rated and some are not. However for simple things like this I think that these would work just fine.

I am a new diver but know my share on these babies.
