I have a guage console that has a small slate on the back. I've always mounted my pencil on a teather and wither let it hang loose (which I don't like) or rubber band it to the console. I'm looking for other ideas that people use to mount/store their slate pencil.

Velcro won't necessarily hold well once it gets wet, and the glue of the velcro itself may not hold, either. Most people I see have a length of surgical tubing attached to the slate, which you stick the non-pointy end of the pencil into and seems to hold pretty well. Mine tucks into my wetnotes, but for a regular slate, the rubberband idea is probably best. |

I used to do all of that before I got my VT3. In my opinion the best reason for owning an AI dive computer is it will keep track of all of that stuff freeing me to enjoy the dive.
<DIV></DIV> <DIV>I hated keeping track of multiple dives the old way, by the time I got home with the rats nest of paper I couldn't remember what went where. </DIV> |
