Insight H2X Typhoon Flashlight
Does anyone have any experience with the Insight H2X Typhoon Flashlight? I was looking for a mulipurpose flashlight. I would use the light daily during my job, however, I was also looking to dive with it. It is waterproof to 50 meters...I would love to know what everyone thinks about the light.
Insight H2X Typhoon Flashlight Thanks! Shane |

80 lumen isn't a whole lot... for a backup, not a bad deal, but primary, I think you are going to want/need more...
even a 3 watt led bulb has an output around 100 lumen... and ouch... $150? that seems pretty steep... the DIY light found here CHEEP LED 3 Watt Light can be made for $35 and should be equivalent light output, if not better... then you've got $115 for a primary dive light, or a nice light for work, or both...

Insight makes great flashlights, especially the M3X and M6X weapon lights. These are also designed as weapon/ duty lights, and although it lists it as being waterproof to 50m, it is not designed to be used as a designated underwater light.
Get something designed to be used at depth. |
