Clips, retractors, etc.

Hi all, I have receive a bunch of great info on this site and figured some of you could help with my bc setup.

There are so many variations of clips, retainers, and retractors I thought It would be good idea to find out what works for you.

I am purchasing a Zeagle Scout (my only bc) for warm water Caribbean diving. I would like to get the right accessories to retain my gauges and octo. I am also looking at a slate and small light.

Any ideas will be helpful. I will purchase these item from ST so if you reference the item numbers that would also be great.

Mostly I use stainless steel or brass bolt snaps, with the swivel end tied to reels, lights, cameras, gauges, etc. with cave line. The snap end attaches to D-rings on harness/BC.

For a slate I use one of these...
Wrist Slate , Accessories: Clips, Trident, Wrist Slate
Having multiple pages on my wrist is always helpful.

As for the retractors I bought one of these accessory kits

Aeris BC Accessory Value Pack, Accessories: Miscellaneous, Aeris, Aeris BC Accessory Value Pack

mostly becuase it was Aeirs like my BC and it had all the stuff I needed.

Ok, for starters... one of these for your spg/computer... there is a high force and I guess a not so high force to pull out...

Multi Mount High Force BC Retractor (RC002-HF), Accessories: Clips, Cetecea, Multi Mount High Force BC Retractor (RC002-HF)

You attach the one half to the gauge, the main to your BC and use the disconnect to attach and remove. Allows you to pull the gauge up to look at it, and just let it go and it is out of the way.... great item.

The link is for the high force one...

I really like this light. although I have seen some comments about the quality of their product, I have not had the slightest issue:

Princeton Tec Torrent LED light, Dive Lights, Princeton Tec, Princeton Tec Torrent LED light

You need a place to put it, and some sort of pocket is nice.

i carry my secondary light in my BC pocket on all dives and i attached it with one of those bungie shoe laces. it's not too glamorous but if it's in your pocket nobody will be able to see it and i've been using the same on for 15 years now. it makes sure i don't loose it and i don't have to unclip anything when i want to take it out and use it. also, it will never rust.

Yea, we just dropped that to less than half price since we blasted out an email today.... we wanted a good special that would make people have to come to the site! Hope it worked! (Since we're not making anything on them!)

Making anything on them hell, you're surely losing money on this one eh?
Another reason that I'm definitely going to be buying from ST.
Now if you could actually put a camera INSIDE the dressing room.....
