The bottom timers seem pretty nice and I really like the fact they keep track of your max depth for the dive, but until I get a computer, I think I'd like to stick with a watch. This is mainly because I've been in the market for a new watch for everyday use anyway.

I have one of these:

Which has a depth indicator and saves the maximum depth from the last dive...

And one of these:

I like both.. for a great dive watch.. find a sale on an invicta diver, with automatic movement...and the non-painted bezel...they are tanks, don't require batteries and look good.

Here is a great example (except the painted bezel) but it is a very nice watch:

Analog w/ rotating bezel. If it does end up getting wet, it will dry and still work.

I went with the old standby Casio G-shock. I've never had one fail to work even at depth. I will admit I've killed a few while doing things that would have taken out every other watch I owned a lot faster.

The only interesting thing is that every one of them when I've replaced a battery goes into a coma for an hour before it remembers it's a watch again. I had to actually force a jewler to take my money after he thoguht he broke my watch and wouldn't take payment. Sure enough, an hour later it was working perfectly again.

Haha, thanks for the heads up on replacing a battery in a G-shock. Good to know that it does start working again once it remembers it's a watch.

Puffer Fish, that is an awesome watch. I wonder how much it will cost.

In that case, I'd go ahead and get a wireless, air integrated computer instead.

I have a computer, but back it up with a regular watch. Analog watch. Same as puffer's actually.

I have a g-shock I use with classes, however, so I have a stopwatch more readily available.
