Have a look at this thread
Primary light I decided to get the Miniwave as it was smaller, not as heavy, but (apparantly) will give the same light just with less battery time. Last edited by ScubaToys Larry : 07-29-2007 at 06:36 PM. |

I just bought one of these 3 days ago... haven't had time to use it yet but did try it in the store with gloves on and didn't have a problem with the on and off switch.

For the price I don't think you can do much better. The only difference between the PT Shockwave and the PT miniwave is one has twice the batteries. Outside of that, it's the same lumens, same watts, same LEDs, same lights... both turn on with that rocker switch, I have the PT Shockwave and have never had a problem turning it on or off in 5mm gloves. I also have a PT Torrent as a back up... that's a powerfull little sucker too. It's a bit more difficult to turn on and off with 5mm gloves, but it's still easy. I've done 3 night dives with my shockwave now and havn't had to change the batteries yet. Last edited by plot : 07-29-2007 at 06:34 PM. |
