I had an Ottercase for 1g Nano w/ waterproof headphones. It was great for swimming laps (swim cap will keep them in your ears). I sold it all and bought a Sansa player so I could use Rhapsody unlimited on my MP3 player. Never had any problems and used it for about 2 years, not sure about the other brands though. I had the H20 headphones (old white style) and they hurt my ears, but I also had an in ear pair w/ normal cables that worked great and felt great. As far as scuba or snorkeling the idea of music would be great, but I wouldn't because it is not safe. I wouldn't put myself and everyone I'm diving with in a situation where I can't hear anything but the music in my ears.
