Retractor vs Coil Lanyard

Im using a retractor on my gauges and a snorkel keeper for my octo.

I've had this one for a couple of years now and love it. No issues, just great performance. I was worried it may break with rough treatment, but its still going strong.

I use a retractor for my gauges, I do like a clip lanyard for my camera. It has a clip to snap it close to the body when not in use.
