PT lights are of questionable quality to me...first one i bought had a broken lanyard mechanism thingy on it, one I got for christmas had to be sent back, one I purchased for someone else all the stickers showing the battery orientation had fallen off. Just little things like that make me question the quality of the product.

I too prefer UK lights. I've done a big research before choosing my lights, and I've seen numerous complaints against PT's quality, but they are very good at replacing defective products though.
I've now own 5 UK lights, have not been ultra careful with them, and they seem to withstand my abuse relatively well ![]() |

I have not had good luck keeping PT's lights alive. I like them when they are working, but so far I haven't owned a single one that didn't break.
Here's a list of the light and how many times I had to have it replaced: Attitude - 2 - First time one led went out, second time one led flickered Impact - 1 - Just died Aurora - 2 - First time one bulb went out, second time battery cover broke Yukon HL - 1 - Short in wiring from battery pack to light head Switchback - 1 - Short in wiring from battery pack to light head They have always sent me another one without any hassles though |
