That is why I keep buying PT lights, because they are so good about replacing the defective ones. I always carry at least one backup, so I'm not too worried about a failure, and I know that they will replace it if it does fail.

I have a PT C8 LED with over 40 dives on the original batteries! Love it, so bought the wife one for our last trip. Tested it at home and packed it. Got our destination and tested the new one again, when I turned it off, the lever for the power switch inside the housing broke. Fortunately wife skipped all the nite dives, my old light keeps working, happily on the original set of batteries. just got back, will see about getting the new light replaced.

Also, when at IAH, watchint TACA unload our plane, before we boarded, saw at least seven bags fall from the front cargo hold, completely missing the conveyor belt!

I keep my travel with my lights in the original boxes, will continue to until the boxes fall apart.
